Responsible Gambling

Horse racing predictions on HorseRacingPrediction.com are a way to read a racecard. They are not a plan for income. A percentage next to a horse is an estimate of chance, not a promise that the horse will win or that a bet will return a profit.

Before you stake

Only bet if you are 18 or older and betting is legal where you are. Decide the amount you can lose before you open a race, and treat that amount as gone once it is staked. Do not raise the stake to recover an earlier loss. Do not borrow money to bet, and do not use money set aside for rent, food or bills.

Read the official racecard as well as our note. Non-runners, a jockey change or a going update can make an overnight selection obsolete. If the price is shorter than the chance we estimated, skipping the race is a valid decision.

When racing stops being entertainment

Stop and seek help if you bet more than you planned, hide betting from people close to you, feel restless when you are not betting, or chase losses from one meeting into the next. Those are signs to take a break, not to look for a better tip.

Bookmakers licensed in your country usually offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. Use them. Independent support is also available from services such as BeGambleAware (begambleaware.org), GamCare (gamcare.org.uk) and Gambling Therapy (gamblingtherapy.org). If you are outside the UK, use the equivalent service recognised where you live.

What this site will not do

We will not encourage higher stakes, publish “guaranteed” winners, or target anyone under 18. If a page on HorseRacingPrediction.com strikes you as irresponsible, email [email protected] with the address and we will review it.
